What is personal data and what we do collect?

Article 3 of the GDPR defines personal data as “any information concerning identified or identifiable natural persons”. To this must be added the different information that, when collected, can lead to the identification of a certain person. The most obvious examples are a person’s name or ID, but email or even an IP address used at a certain time is also considered personal data.

The categories of data processed are:

  • Identification data
  • Postal and e-mail addresses
  • Commercial Information

No special categories of personal data are processed (i.e. data revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical convictions, trade union membership, genetic data, biometric data intended to uniquely identify a natural person, data relating to health or data relating to a natural person’s sex life or sexual orientation).

Eihub is the commercial name owned by ELITE INNOVATION HUB, S.L., through which it sells innovation consulting services and development of smart solutions. The services marketed comply with the legal requirements in force in the European Union.

What do we process your data for?

At Eihub we treat the information provided to us by interested parties, confidentially, for the following purposes:

  • Maintain a single user registry for all Services, thereby improving their management.
  • Manage, where appropriate, requests for the purchase of services.
  • Manage your user subscription.
  • Send you information about the services offered, if you have authorized us to do so.
  • Sending the Newsletter or newsletter, if you have authorised us to do so.

We inform you that on some occasions it may be necessary to process your personal data to comply with legal obligations, or in relation to any contractual relationship we may have with you.

Both the subscription to our blog and the registration by means of a form is free and voluntary for the user, so the legitimate basis for the processing of their personal data is their consent.

 

Where is your data stored?

We use a variety of applications to obtain and store certain data. To ensure your privacy, these apps are subject to strict regulations. Most of the data is stored within the European Union. With regard to data that is sent to non-EU countries, we only use companies that offer sufficient protection in accordance with European law. In some cases, we have vendors that have Binding Corporate Rules, or have adhered to Privacy Shields.

 

What third parties do we share your data with?

In some cases, we provide your data (only when necessary) to third parties. However, we will never sell your data to third parties. As noted above, in some situations we work with third-party service providers. Such providers may only use your data to provide the relevant services. Therefore, they may not use such information for their own purposes or pass it on to third parties. We may share the data we collect through cookies with the parties that create those cookies. In order to provide services strictly necessary for the development of the activity, Eihub shares data with the following providers under their corresponding privacy conditions:

Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help Eihub analyse how users use the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of ai (including your IP address) will be directly transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States.
  • MailChimp: The Rocket Science Group LLC d/b/a, domiciled in the USA. More information at: https://mailchimp.com/ (The Rocket Science Group LLC d/b/a ). The Rocket Science Group LLC d/b/a processes the data for the purpose of providing its email marketing services to Eihub.

 

What are your rights when you provide us with your data?

Any person has the right to obtain confirmation as to whether  or not Eihub is processing personal data concerning them.

Data subjects have the right to access their personal data, as well as to request the rectification of inaccurate data or, where appropriate, request its deletion when, among other reasons, the data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected.

In certain circumstances, data subjects may request the restriction of the processing of their data, in which case we will only keep them for the exercise or defence of claims.

In certain circumstances and for reasons related to their particular situation, data subjects may object to the processing of their data. In this case, Eihub will cease to process the data, except for compelling legitimate reasons, or the exercise or defence of possible claims.

You may materially exercise your rights in the following way: You have the right to access, rectify and delete the data, as well as other rights, indicated in the additional information, which you can exercise by contacting the address of the data controller

If you have given your consent for a specific purpose, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of the processing based on consent prior to its withdrawal.

In the event that you feel that your rights regarding the protection of your personal data have been violated, especially when you have not obtained satisfaction in the exercise of your rights, you can file a complaint with the competent Data Protection Supervisory Authority through its website: www.agpd.es.

The personal data that we process at Eihub comes from  your express consent and comes from:

  • Subscription Forms
  • Customer Registration Forms

Security and confidentiality of your data

Eihub has adopted technical, organisational and security security measures that guarantee the confidentiality, integrity and quality of the information contained therein, in accordance with the provisions of current data protection regulations.

In particular, on  the Eihub website,  communication between the user and the server is carried out with data encrypted using the HTTPS protocol, which is the highest degree of protection for user confidentiality that can be implemented at the present time.

At Eihub we try to ensure the  security of your personal data when it is sent outside of our website, and we ensure that these companies respect confidentiality and that they have the appropriate mechanisms in place to protect it. All such companies have an obligation to ensure that such information is processed in accordance with laws and regulations relating to data privacy.
